UHPC & High-Strength Concrete

Ultra-high performance concrete demands dispersion that conventional superplasticizers cannot deliver. Our UHPC grades work at very low water-cement ratios in high-binder, silica-fume systems.

UHPC is a formulation problem before it is a strength problem. With binder contents often exceeding 800 kg/m³ and water-cement ratios below 0.20, the mix has very little free water to work with — and the dispersant has to achieve flow in a system that is fundamentally hostile to flow.

Conventional PCE grades either fail to disperse at those ratios or retard set so severely that production becomes impractical. Our UHPC grades use a molecular architecture designed for high ionic strength and high solid surface area, delivering flow at dosage levels that keep setting behaviour workable.

We work with UHPC producers on mix design, not just supply. Send us your target strength, binder system and curing method, and we will recommend a starting dosage for trial.

What We Focus On

Dispersion at ultra-low water-cement ratio

Achieves flow at w/c ratios below 0.20 where conventional grades stall.

High binder and silica fume tolerance

Performs in systems with very high solid surface area and elevated ionic strength.

Controlled retardation

High dispersion without the crippling set retardation that makes production impractical.

Support up to 150 MPa and beyond

The dispersion quality needed to reach the compressive strengths UHPC projects specify.

Questions From UHPC & High-Strength Concrete Producers

Dosage depends on binder content, silica fume level and target flow. Typical starting points are 1.0% – 2.5% of binder weight. Share your mix design and we will recommend a specific starting dosage for your trial.

Both. Liquid is generally easier to dose accurately in a wet-cast UHPC production line, while powder is used in dry-mix UHPC systems and where adding carrier water is not acceptable.
